Pastoral Care Program Overview

All of our pastoral care ministries welcome your participation.  We seek to match parishioners with the pastoral care activities that best match their gifts and abilities as we work together to serve God’s people.  Many those who serve others this way are the “Silent Saints” taking care of others without seeking recognition for the care they share.

Our Pastoral Care Commission meets quarterly to help connect the many ministries listed below.

The Pastoral Care Commission recently established a “Parish Visitor” program. This program does not replace any current ministries but instead, seeks to add another dimension of care. For more information, choose here.

Based on the biblical foundations of compassion, integrity and dependence on God, the many ministries of pastoral care reflect both on the calling of God's spirit to the community and the particular passions and gifts of its members.  The Commission provides Christ-centered help for those ministering to others through visitation, conversation, prayer or other assistance to those in need.

Individual ministries of the Pastoral Care Commission include:

-Agape Meals
-Card Ministry (through the Episcopal Church Women)
-Clergy visits to those ill and confined
-Eucharistic Visitors to shut-ins
-Flower Ministry
-
Prayer Shawl Ministry
-Parish Visitors
-Prayer Chain Ministry
-Prayers of the People (Parish Outreach Cycle of Prayer for the Chapel)
