The ECW sends greeting cards to our parishioners and/or family on behalf of the congregation when we learn of an illness, accident, surgery or death. When the clergy or church office learns of one of these events in a parishioner’s life, the church office notifies the ECW board member who is in charge of the ministry. Volunteers from the ECW have licked countless stamps and envelopes that come from donations (so you will not see this expense in the parish or ECW budget). Another part of this ministry is sending "Thinking of You" cards to anyone who is on the prayer list for an extended period of time. If you have been ill, you may have received a card signed "Thinking of you and remembering you in our prayers, COOS ECW." If you have cards that might be appropriate for this ministry that you would like to donate, please contact Diana Crowley the current coordinator.
