And so, by action of the Vestry, the Hallock Endowment Fund was established. The endowment provides a perpetual source of funds because only investment income is spent. The principle remains intact. Since 2004, the Hallock Fund has distributed more than $21,000 in earned income.
In keeping with Harold’s dream of a parish being able to spend a dollar outside the parish for every dollar spent within the parish, the Vestry approved the concept of the Hallock Endowment Fund spending half of its annual earnings within the parish and half for outreach efforts. In recent years, the Fund supported the very popular Stewardship Suppers and has provided for landscaping projects. The
The Hallock Endowment Fund Committee, made up of members of the parish, meets annually in Lent to make its expenditure recommendations to the Vestry. The Vestry acts on those requests at its first meeting after Easter.
